25th January 2003 Kite buggying - boarding: Hull Wind Direction: south west Wind Stength: 28mph gustys 30mph Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 7 Sea Temperature: Weather: very sunny no clouds Max Speed: Distance Covered: Well i went and there was a bit of wind but couldnt enjoy it because there were footballers where i wanted to flt. after 30mins they had gon and i moved up to open field. OHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY GODDDDDDDDDDDD!! I was flying a 2.8m predator i could not toutch the floor i was getting ragged and dragged all over. I was just floating all over and geting pulled up into the air without even trying. I would of been impssiblt to buggy or board so i didnt bother. My mate had to let one of his handles go on his 3m firebee or he would of hit a tree then a house!!! U could not stop the kite it was mental!!. Plus the floor was wet soggy mud+grass. The acceleration when u took ur kite up as at about o-30mph in 2 seconds honest then u slowd down and got dragged up and forward high but a nice floaty landing:) we had enough it got to the point of being scared ot take out kite up as the wind stared to pick up so we went home cover in mud. But a bloody good days flying:) |
